My biggest sale of 2010 so
far is the 5ft x 6ft oil painting ‘Elephants on the Move.’ It
has left a gap on the gallery
wall that I need to fill. This has been an inspiration to get me back
on my feet and into my studio, after having a
herniated disc since Christmas.

Wildlife sightings from Fotherdale: It has been a busy time here for wildlife and Robert has been out in the field photographing the action. Here are just a few of the results |
|
| |
| |
 |
Badgers have dominated Robert's time recently. He has been watching a lively badger sett near Fotherdale with eight adults and three cubs. It will take a while for them to get used to Robert's presence and the ‘click' of his camera, but all the signs are promising. |

‘Kes', the kestrel Robert had given up for lost after feeding him for years from his bird table, is back. The only trouble is, since he's been away, a new 'Kes' has adopted Robert. When the two met they had a short, pecking, spat. |

Robert regularly sees red kites gliding through Millington Pastures, three miles from the gallery. Up until recently, these birds were close to national extinction. Schemes to release red kites into the wild at Harewood House are now making a difference. |

The gallery welcomed pet tawny owl OL for a stay whilst her owner was holidaying in New Zealand. “It was lovely to have her to stay. She is very vocal and a real character,” said Robert.“She's also been a superb ‘model' for me to photograph. Who knows, she may pop up in a painting someday!” |
