| Gentoo penguins were Robert Fuller's main focus when he reached the Antarctic peninsula. This female gentoo had successfully reared two chicks and was beautifully silhouetted against the skyline. Robert waited for 2 1/2hr in freezing conditions to wait for this tender moment when the adult gentoo bent down to feed her chicks. |

| These two young cub otters were seen curled up beside each other fresh from a dip in the water. Cubs are often quite sociable unlike the adult otters, which outside of breeding times are solitary. Robert captures the uxoriously thick coat of these two young and their characteristic spiky guard hairs, which are flat and streamlined in water, are clearly visible as they dry out in the sun. |

| This impressive large painting of Zebras was inspired from a trip to Lake Nakuru in Kenya a few years back. Mother and foal often stand in protective and affectionate poses such as this and it is always interesting to see how the shapes and patterns of the zebras' stripes merge when they are set against each other. Robert particularly enjoys the challenge of painting large scale pictures such as this. Although difficult to see from the image above, the texture of fur on the original is fantastic and there is a great play of light across the two zebras which brings out the reddish tinge to their coats. |

Chimpanzees are so interesting to watch and photograph in the wild and this particular one was studied by Robert in Mahale National Park a wonderfully wild and remote place on the shores of Lake Tanginika in Tanzania. The postures that these primates make is so varied that it was difficult to choose one of the many that he photographed. However, this one he liked particularly with it's pensive gaze.

| Robert's favourite place to watch and photograph Badgers is at Cropton Forest near Pickering, where there has been an active sett for many years. This picture is painted with a mixture of acrylic paint and pencil crayon to give the badgers' coats a soft yet thick and rough texture, which is so characteristic of this well known mammal. |
