This Mute Swan pair now have two eggs, having returned to the same nest they used last year. Laid on the 2nd and 4th of April. The female will now lay every other day and last year laid 12 eggs! Date filmed: April 2024
 

 

Mute swan

Mute swans are the most common of swan species here on mainland Britain and are easy to recognise by their orange bills which have a large black ‘knob’ at the base.
