I've been given a car mount by Tragopan to trial. Enjoy the footage of brown hares I was able to capture using it.
Hares are very wary animals and it can be tricky to film their behaviour. But in my car I can get a lot closer than I can on foot. It's a case of just creeping close to the hare and then sitting in the car, filming from the car window as though I'm in a hide.

What interested me about this car mount is the way I can slide it along a rail so if the hare moves I don't need to move the car to adjust my position to follow it. It's quite big, but is easy enough to fit with a magnetic part that clings to the car door. And it's pretty sturdy!
