Barn owl pair Tappy & Sparkle haven't had a lot of luck lately. First Tappy was injured in a courtship dispute, then Sparkle got an eye injury... At least they have each other.

This young male barn owl earned the nickname 'Tappy Feet', now shortened to 'Tappy', after the way he taps his feet. Injured during a courtship dispute with his partner Sparkle, he had to be rescued and is now fully healed.

But despite resuming their courtship, Tappy's partner Sparkle then disappeared. And when Tappy called for her, she didn't respond. When she eventually returned, it was clear she has sustained an eye injury. This pair haven't had a lot of luck lately! Thankfully Sparkle's eye recovers and the relationship between Tappy & Sparkle is back on course
