Snow Stoat  £4,250

Original Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: 26.25″ x 21.5″ Image Size: 16″ x 11″

I have been studying stoats very closely over the last few years. I can now recognise individual animals in my garden by fleck markings on their face. I couldn’t resist painting this young male as he bounded across the snow.

Original Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: 23″x19″ Image Size: 7.5″x10.75″

I always love to watch kingfishers and have been lucky enough to study them in the nest. This painting was inspired by watching a kingfisher fishing at RSPB Fairburn Ings on a cold and snowy day.

A litter of stoat kits were born in my garden. In the autumn one of the males took up territory here. I trained him to climb up this stick for tit bits of food. I used a CCTV camera system to alert me when he arrived so I could take photographs of this unusual composition.

Long Tailed Tit Painting by Robert E FullerLong-Tailed Tit on Guelder Rose

NOW SOLD!

Original Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed size: 14.5″ Image Size: 6″ x 6.75″

I was exhibiting my work at Birmingham NEC one year. On my way into the show I noticed a pair of long-tailed tits building a nest by the main lake. I returned a week later and immediately went to see how they were getting on. They hadn’t finished building their nest yet and kept returning with extra nesting material. I managed to get some photographs of these fast-moving little birds, which led to this painting.

Painting by Robert E FullerSparrowhawk in pursuit of Great Spotted Woodpecker

£3,950

Original Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: 26.5″ x 21.25″ Image Size: 14″ x 10″

A few years ago I took an amazing photograph of a sparrowhawk sitting on top of a fence post with a woodpecker perched on the same post, just centimetres below it. The woodpecker held itself stock-still and in this way it escaped detection. Moments before I took the photograph, the sparrowhawk had been chasing this woodpecker. In this painting I wanted to capture the drama of that chase: just as the two birds clashed in mid-air, before the woodpecker made its escape.

Pine Marten painted by Robert E FullerPine Marten on Rock

£2,100

Original Pencil and Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: 15″ x 18.75″ Image Size: 6.25″ x 9.5″

I booked a cottage on the Ardnamurchan peninsular off the West Coast of Scotland especially to photograph pine martens. This endangered mammal visited the cottage every day to feed on tit bits I put out for it in the garden. All pine martens have unique bib markings. This young male was especially inquisitive and I spent a fascinating week studying him and his family.

Great Crested Grebe, painting by Robert E FullerGreat Crested Grebe Incubating

£2,950

Original Pencil and Acrylic Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: ….. Image Size: 10.5″ x 12″

I watched this great crested grebe at the ornamental lakes at York University. It was amazing to see just how relaxed it was just 10 metres from a busy footpath. It hatched three stripey chicks and took them out on to the main lake. But they kept coming back to the nest to rest and roost.

£9,250 NOW SOLD!

Original Oil Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: Image Size: 27″ x 19″

Ducks always make great subjects to paint. They have a comical character. I watched this mallard and three drakes jostle for position on an old post and rail fence.

Red Stag, painted by Robert E FullerGlencoe Stag

NOW SOLD!

Original Oil Painting by Robert E Fuller

Framed Size: Image Size: 26″ x 18″

I recently went to see the red stag rut at Glencoe in Scotland. I followed this stag for four days, trailing it from dusk to dawn until it accepted my presence. Eventually it let me come withing 30 yards. This gave me a fascinating insight into the red stag rut. With this painting I wanted to capture the stag with the stunning mountain range behind it.
