After years as a bachelor, Orion the barn owl becomes a dad of four! Watch his new family emerge, from the first egg crack to all four owlets in the nest.
Orion's story
For years it seemed Orion the barn owl would never have a family of his own. His two previous partnerships, first with Star in 2022, then Poppy, whose eggs sadly failed in 2024, came to nothing. And so it was very exciting when he paired up with Celeste in 2025 and then Celeste laid a clutch of four eggs in May 2022.
Now all four chicks have hatched. Watch as Celeste calls to the them when the eggs begin pipping. But as this clutch break out of their shells danger is never far away..
