How to Spot Wildlife in Woodland

How to Spot Wildlife in Woodland

Robert E Fuller

'If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise'. Well hopefully. Actually it takes some skill to see woodland wildlife since most creatures spot you long before you catch sight of them and rapidly disappear into the tree canopy.

  1. Try to blend in

At one time the whole of the UK was covered in woodland so essentially most species we see today are woodland creatures. But there are some species that you are most likely to spot when walking in the woods.

Red Squirrels

Badgers

Look for spoil heaps, paths radiating out

Fox
