autumn is here

As the countryside here starts to turn an autumnal gold, my latest film records how wildlife responds to the changing season.

Also, the last in the series from barn owls Willow & Ghost’s nest is out now and I have a range of cosy homeware for you to see.

Why not treat yourself to a trip out to see the autumn colours and do spot of shopping too?

season unfolds

WILDLIFE FILM

As the leaves turn from green to gold and autumn slowly takes hold here on the Yorkshire Wolds, the wildlife getss ready for the coming cold.

Birds feast on berries, squirrels build dreys and a weasel curls up in a bed of leaves.

WILDLIFE FILMS

In the latest in this series, barn owl chicks Skye, Spirit & Echo are fledging the nest.

But as they find their wings, parent owls Willow & Ghost are never far away, protecting them from danger and bringing a steady supply of food.

fox at dawn

LIMITED EDITION PRINT | FROM £85

This painting was inspired by the sight of a red fox early one morning. I loved the way it paused by a tree and turned to look at me before trotting off to get on with its day.

The warm tones of its russet fur reminds me of that autumn dawn.

AND ENJOY THE AUTUMN COLOURS

My gallery in Thixendale is set in stunning countryside and right now, as the colours turn red and gold, is a good time to visit.

Plan a day out to see my paintings and wildlife films and enjoy a free coffee while you browse.

the hedgehog

THAT WON MY HEART

I have to confess that as a boy I used to think hedgehogs were twee.

Then one day, to my horror, I inadvertently trapped a young hedgehog in a rat trap in my garden. It was the beginning of a relationship that won me over.
