This week I watched Gylfie and Dryer’s barn owl chicks start their own adventures in the great outdoors. Meanwhile, I’m planning my own adventure to South Georgia in 2024, if you’d like to join me see the itinerary below:

Barn owl chicks take flight

It was wonderful to watch Gylfie and Dryer’s chicks Storm, Cloud and Thunder fledge the nest this week, even if it was more of a ‘hop’.

Green turtles munch

It was great to snorkel with green turtles on my recent trip to Australia and see them munch on sea grass.

Blue tits on hawthorn

I was inspired to paint this after watching a pair of blue tits moving through a hawthorn tree. I loved the way the bright berries stood out against their blue.
