These sparrowhawk chicks are just 18 days old and still vulnerable to predators. Although squirrels are large, their mother doesn't hesitate when it comes to protecting them. Watch their reaction when they notice the squirrel! Thankfully the female sparrowhawk isn't far away and quickly swoops down to their defence. After shooing the squirrel away, she returns to feed the chicks.
