Gentoo penguins are the fastest penguin swimmers in the world. By using their wings like flippers, they can propel themselves through the water at speeds of up to 22 miles per hour. '
Watch how they porpoise through the water, jumping clear of the waves to almost fly through the air for a moment before diving back in again. But whilst streamlined in the water, gentoos are not so great on land where their 'hopping' action means they can lose their balance.
