Film | How Tawny Owlets Spend Their Time When They're Only 19 Days Old | 24 Hr Timelapse | Robert E Fuller

These tawny owl chicks are just 19 days old and already old enough to spend their days alone in the nest. Enjoy this timelapse taken over a day in their young lives to see how they spend their time -snoozing, stretching, exploring, and waiting for dinner!

Owlets in nest

Luna's four chicks are still covered in fluffy down and between visits from owl mum Luna, they spend their time snoozing, flapping their stumpy wings, stretching their long legs and exploring the nest on their young, shaky legs. As the world turns outside their nest, it might seem like the owlets don't do a lot, but at this age every event is momentous - and of course dinner time is the most important moment in the day.
